SDSS Royals remember one of their own

Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS) Royals Football team remembered one of their own, Jack  on Saturday, August 11th with a FUNdraiser co-ed flag football tournament, the Dirt Bowl.

The fundraiser was an initiative by SDSS Football coach Joey Wentworth ‘in memoriam’ for a former student player, Jack Drury, who took his own life one year ago.

The first annual ‘Dirt Bowl‘, co-sponsored by The Queen’s of Port Elgin, raised $9,100 that was divided between the Royals football team and WES (Wellness & Emotional Support) for Youth on-line, with each receiving $4,550.
