Saugeen District Senior School (SDSS) continues with its winter activities expansion thanks to Mowbray’s Canadian Tire JumpStart initiative.
Teacher Keith Day who heads up the program recently submitted photos of the students who are actively involved in the new Nordic ski and snowshoe programs.
Last Thursday, the team participated at Duntroon, outside of Collingwood (Highlands Nordic). All skiers raced very well and Junior Girl Sarah Poole was third in her category.
On Sunday, Zoe Shave skied well in the Suntrail Special in Hepworth.
This Tuesday, was CWOSSA in Hepworth. Sarah Poole has qualified for OFSSA next Wednesday and Thursday at Arrowhead Provincial Park near Huntsville. Alba Mendez was the fastest Spanish skier with Eleanor Smith and Zoe Shave skiing well in Senior Girls.
