At the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the recently expanded facility of Framatome Inc. in Kincardine, Mike Rencheck, President and CEO of Bruce Power was asked about the proposed Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII).
He reiterated that the Institute must be welcomed by a community as it will be attracting prominent people from around the world, such as Framatome’s Global President and CEO, Bernard Fontana, who flew from Paris, France to attend the MoU signing in Kincardine on November 30th.
Rencheck said that “the location will sort itself out over time … Bruce County will be developing a training secretariat for career development and the County has a key role to play in this.”
When asked if he would reconsider the preferred location at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, he was noncommittal.
