New EMS regional headquarter construction moving forward

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) new regional home is moving forward as steel for construction has begun to arrive after a delay due allegedly to supply demands.

The facility will feature meeting room spaces, hub gymnasium, and hoteling work-stations for staff during inclement weather and power outages as it will be fully generator supported. Additional parking spaces have also been added to the site to alleviate parking issues at the Lakeshore Hub which is the Bruce County Library headquarters.

There will also be additional offices for future growth and a paramedic simulator lab for  staff training.

The facility will also serve as training headquarters for Paramedic Services in Bruce County.

Located immediately adjacent to the Saugeen Shores Police Services building, it is anticipated that the EMS and police service will create an emergency hub that will expedite emergency services.
