In his community update for July 7th, Saugeen First Nation Chief, Lester Anoquot, announced today that no new cases of COVID had been reported. “This is a very strong positive message for the community.|
Chief Anoquot gave his update from the James Mason recreation centre that has now be turned into an isolation centre with 30 beds available for those who cannot isolate at home.
“Immunization vaccination is a very important key to prevent the spread of the COVID variant that we are experiencing,” added Anoquot. “With the help of the Red Cross and committee that we have in place, I believe we are stabilizing the virus.”
The next immunization clinic will be held on Tuesday, July 13th and, swab testing and immunization will be done for those isolating as a mobile unit moves door-to-door.
